| Bob and I were 3rd-Detail Plebe roommates in A-4. That experience forged a great cadet friendship, but we lost contact during our active duty service. René and I saw Bob and Jill at our 35th Reunion in September 2014. At that time, he told us about his bout with cancer and about his growing faith. The latter revelation took me back to the spring of 1976 when we had many conversations about the important things in life. I gave him a big hug! |
