Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Chip Jones on May 6, 2022:

Tom Hagen was my table comm for my first post-Beast dinner. He was my squad leader that semester as well, and was a member of the B-1 Barbarians until he graduated. Pretty unremarkable comments, those.

Tom was also a cheerleader for the company and its achievements. He was proud of his associations, both with B-1, and with his class, and rightly so. He was a model for me and my classmates as Beanheads, and was a strong leadership example for us as Yearlings, when he was a Firstie.

I lost touch with Tom for literally decades, until he surfaced on Facebook after some dumb comment of mine. I appreciated his expression of pride *in me*, for what I had become. And I could tell from his comments that his faith was becoming a bigger and bigger portion of his life.

Well done, Tom. Be Thou At Peace.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and May perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace.
