| I'm so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I was on the rifle team for a year and knew of him because of his father (who was the coach). My first unit in Germany - Alan was the battery XO and I was the FDO. That was a great time the year it lasted. People were just drawn to him. Riding the equipment train to Graf and playing poker all night, and lots of field time that flew by laughing at jokes and whatnot. Whenever I've thought back on those times, it's always been with fond memories because of knowing him. My condolences to the Hamill family. |
