Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jim Browning on November 17, 2020:

Frank and I were West Point classmates. I met him in the Summer of 1979 while we were attending Air Assault school at Fort Campbell. Frank had an easy way about him. He was generous with his time and always ready to laugh and get into mischief. Frank's family was from the Clarksville area (his Dad retired there as a CSM, if I remember correctly). Frank often invited us over to his house and it was always a wonderful escape from the school and the barracks where we were staying. It was so typical of Frank-thoughtful and generous. I will always remember him as that skinny, smiling young man in the summer of '79. Our paths never really crossed again, either at school or in the Army. But my memories of him stand clear. Our world is diminished when we lose men like Frank. Be thou at peace, my friend. Strength as One!
