| Billy Hubbard was one of the finest people I ever knew. He was a great friend so many years ago when we were all young men working our way through the daily challenges at USMA. Billy was a barrel of laughs, confident, dependable and a hard worker. He always had a few minutes for a friend, and was a cool, calm, decisive, intelligent leader. I remember hearing of his passing while I was serving at Ft. Hood. It was all I could do to tell my commander I was taking the rest of the day off. Billy was "good people" as the old southern saying goes. Billy is not forgotten all these many years since. May he rest in peace in God's grace. |
