Be Thou At Peace

| Kirk, we saw each other and would meet as West Point cadets do...shuffling past during those class breaks at Thayer Hall, one of us incoming, the other outgoing. Or in a class when I was section marcher and asking the P: you know, sir, by MY watch I think he got here on time...Or your magnificent running any athletic time! -- the APFT, or your own sports. Well, now you have those gifts of youth back, however that works for matters of corpus and spirit. Farewell, good brother. Thanks for reminding me of the wonderful brothers and sisters of the class I remain with. As we learned on the Plain in our youth and were reminded yet again, some day our work really will be done, as yours is. Be thou at peace, from Mad Max |
