Be thou at peace, Kirk... I'll miss your sense of humor, your wit, your taste in music, and your calling me on the carpet when I needed it. From our yearbook: "KIRK BARNES KNIPP D-4 Costa Mesa, CA. Lieutenant Answering 'Oh, just ten' to a question of how far he ran typifies the calm attitude Kirk had toward the hectic life at West Point. His ability to persevere under immense academic and physical pressure was incentive to others to graduate and become Army Officers.
