Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Loreto P. Biete on January 25, 2007:

COL Allgood/Sir:
You may not know me, but I always knew you as my Commander @ 121st GH, Yongsan, South Korea from 30 Oct 2004 to 01 Nov 2005. I was then a 1LT working @ the Psyche Ward. You recommended me to receive the AAM when I PCS to Ft. Hood, Texas last 15 Oct 2005. I was shocked today, 24th Jan 2007, learning of the tragedy while you were defending the democratic freedom of the people of Iraq. But as I write this eulogy, my memories linger as if you're still alive, always cool and smiling while speaking to us in Yongsan garrison. And you offered the ultimate sacrifice-one of the time tested Army values of having personal courage-face fear danger or adversity-physical or moral. Sir, I may not see you or attend your last rites, but deep in my grieving heart, I will never quit to defend the freedom of the greatest nation on earth-the United States. So, that's what keeps me goimg to serve our Army, based on Army Values, the Soldiers" Code and the Warrior Ethics.

Rest in peace with our Almighty Creator, SIR!

CPT Biete, Loreto P
CRDAMC, Ft. Hood, Texas.
