John Hoffman, Dominic and I were all in the same Beast Squad 25 years ago, under squad leaders Joe Sladewski and Bob Simis. I remember the first time Hoff called Dominic "'Cuda", and boy it stuck. Cuda was a guy who knew his poop, but also knew it wasn't nearly as important as helping his squadmates with humor and class. When we lose guys like 'Cuda, the bell tolls for us.
