| Memorial Day, 2017 and I am reflecting upon a tremendous American leader, Rocky Baragona. Rocky served with me in the 82d Airborne Division 1996-1997 and was the most knowledgeable logistician in the Division Support Command. I knew that he was headed for Battalion Command and service well beyond that level. He was a tremendous officer and even greater person. You could not help but want to be around Rocky. I followed his career, as he took command, and deployed his battalion to Iraq. I was so saddened to hear the news of his death. I will never forget his infectious smile or his positive spirit. I have not forgotten Rocky and never will. |
