Posted 9/5/2004. I grew up with Dale. I was his receiver as he was the quarterback. We placed at state in the mile relay and still hold the school record. We started basketball together. When he was at West Point, I was stationed in Ft. Monmouth, NJ. We spent time together. I made it to the Chicago concert I think in 1980 or 81 at West Point. I went to Army-Navy game in Philadelphia in the that same time frame. I married my high school sweetheart and he was in our wedding. He married his high school sweetheart (Karen) as well. They were both killed in the same auto accident on 7/20/1985. He and Karen will be missed by all (including his twin sister) even as we approach the 20th anniversary. . . |
