Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Cliff Mainor on December 1, 2016:
A strong man. That's what I remember admiring about Damon Igou whenever I was around him, or communicating with him. Strong physically, and even more importantly, he was strong in his faith. Damon had that strength-of-presence that moved with him indicating he was a force to be reckoned with before he ever spoke a word. And when he spoke that force was reinforced with his strong baritone voice. Yet as forceful as Damon presented himself, he was one of the most kind and respectful people I've had the pleasure of knowing. And I know that kindness came from his commitment to his strongly held Christian beliefs. I enjoyed my time during Army training with Damon. I treasured our conservative values discussions on Facebook. I laughed at his love for his orange cat, Orange. And I loved him as a brother in Jesus Christ. God's army just got a lot stronger.
Well done, brother, be thou at peace.
