| Frank was a great friend to many in A2 and '86, and I was privileged to be one of them. I remember many laughs and good times with Frank during our three years in A2. His great sense of humor, character, and friendship helped get me through Airborne School in 1984, and especially Ranger School in the winter of '86-87. As my Ranger buddy for part of the course, we shared some serious frozen misery, and he lifted my spirits and motivation plenty of times, encouraging me to drive on. I was in the Gulf of Aquaba (Sinai, Egypt) less than a year before Frank died there, never dreaming that those beautiful waters would claim the life of a such dear friend and great soldier.
