Be Thou At Peace

| I was in company D-3 with Chris. All my memories of him are fond ones. We each had pictures of our girlfriends in our rooms. I remember that once we argued good-naturedly about who had the prettiest girlfriend. (He won, barely, but I wouldn't give him the credit at the time.) I only discovered these eulogy pages today. And time has a way of fading the memories. I wish I would have captured my thoughts (the shock and anger and disbelief) back in 1988. What images I still have of our West Point days, though, are of a friendly, fair-haired man, full of the joy of life. My thoughts today are with you Chris. |
