Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Gudrun Hayes on June 25, 2002:

I did not know Bob while he went thru West Point; I met him on his first overseas asignement in Reitscheid 1988. He was my husbands superior. Pretty soon we became friends. We shared the rough times and the fun times while stuck in Germany and later on in the States.
When I needed a wide shoulder to cry on, a joke to laugh at, a person to be with or just a little cheering up, Bob was there for me. He always came up with a solution for everything, but most of all, he made me believe in myself again. In 1991 he became my sons godfather.
Live itself and later on bad circumstances splitted us far apart and finally in 1998 we lost contact to eachother.
The message of his passing away didn't just sadden me, it toar me apart.
I will always remember Bob as a loving and caring person. His warm and
conforting voice will be always stuck in my mind.

Thank you Bob for letting me know you and for beeing my friend.
Jonathan and I will never forget you, nor will we ever stop loving you.
