Be Thou At Peace

Posted by LTC Joe Gaines on August 1, 2006:

I cannot believe Bob is gone. Those of us from 4-1 ADA Hawk in GE will always owe the success of that unit to his hard work. He spent numerous hours with the electronically challenged like myself, to ensure we could be cut it as new lieutenants. He never complained or sought recognition for training every single Lieutenant in that unit. Thanks to Bob I know what a real work ethic looks like, We also raised a few glasses together in GE and Greece. As the new guy, I was put on Bob patrol, and I never let you down friend. Bob worked hard but knew how to have fun at the end of the day. I will always remember him as a great friend who introduced me to the real Army - I can't believe he's gone. I have some great pics and some video of the good old days if the family would like this material. Blazing Skies to my old Hawk Friend
