Maj. Olson was the Company Tactical Officer of F3 (Go Dogs) during my plebe and yearling year at West Point. He was the first active-duty Army Officer that I got to know and he quickly became one of my most revered mentors. God knew what He was doing when he put Maj. Olson in charge of me. I do not know if I would have stuck through West Point without him. He was an inspiration when I got discouraged during plebe year, a guiding light as I broke away from my adolescence and a true leader as I eventually fell into place behind him. Through his skilled leadership and dedication to the profession of arms, he taught me the true meaning of the words "duty, honor, country". Maj. Olson-Rest In Peace You will not be forgotten. |
