MAJ Olsen was the first officer I met in the Army. He was my TAC during Beast Barracks when I was a new cadet. I will never forget how he interacted with the new cadets and the cadre during that summer. I saw him as a safety blanket, because whenever he was around people were always smiling and in good spirits. That is the presence that this man possessed. He was a great leader and a terrific human being. He is someone I emulate, hoping that I may one day be looked upon the way I, along with numerous others, looked upon him. I hope his children will know what a remarkable father they had. My deepest condolences to his wife, children, and extended family. God bless you MAJ Olsen. Be thou at peace. CDT J.J.
