Be Thou At Peace

Rob O!

Hey, buddy! I just re-read the posting from Brittany from just over a year ago, and thought I'd drop you a note. Saturday marked the 10th anniversary of your accident. I think of you often, and remember many of the fun times we had together. Were you still with us, I am sure that you would be leading and inspiring soldiers on the battlefield.

Terry O keeps some of us informed of some of the goings-on with your family. I haven't seen your kids since that very cold day in MN 10 yrs ago, but as you might remember, they were bundles of energy and enthusiasm. It seems like they are both growing up in such a manner as to make you a very proud father. My own kids are just 9 & 6 now, and I hope that I can do as good a job of raising mine as you did yours, and as Holly continues to do.

I don't know exactly what awaits us after our time on this earth, but for some reason God wanted you up with Him sooner than the rest of us would have liked. I can only believe that He has a greater plan for you; maybe your guidance and strength that you can provide us from your position in Heaven, or maybe just the fact that your passing ensures that many of us down here stay in touch a little bit better than maybe we would have otherwise. Myself and quite a few others hoisted a beer or two on Saturday in your honor. Know that you are loved and missed.
