Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Brittany Olson on January 16, 2005:

I dont know if people still read this or not but i recently came upon it. This site is truely amazing. I guess i never really realized how many people loved and cared for my dad just as much as i did. I mean i realized it it just didnt register. Im not to good with words (must run in the family) but i did want to write something. I never really said much to anyone on the matter if my dads death. I guess i didnt really think there was to much to say. But i was wrong. There is so much to say. Of course i have no idea how to say it all. I often think back to the night before my dads helicopter crashed. I remember it so well. everything about it just kinda stands still in my mind. I remember he called and i was playing barbies with my neighbor so i didnt really say much other than "i love you i miss you blah blah blah.." So thinking about that night got me wondering what i would say if i could say anything to him. And you know what i couldnt think of anything to say other than i love you daddy and i cant wait to see you again. Life has changed so much since that night. and im sure it will never be the same. but im ok with that. because i know that my dad is in heaven and some day hopefully not too soon im gonna get to see him again. and thats what keeps me going. the fact that my daddy is watching over me every day and keeping me safe and helping me get through life.

so in conclusion i just wanna say thank you to everybodys prayers, cards, donations, ect. you gave from your heart and you gave not out of sympathy but out of love..
