Be Thou At Peace

SONG FOR ABSENT FRIENDS

I still see your face when I close my eyes
It's hard to believe that your gone my friend
I still call you up and I think you're there
It's not your voice on the other end

And I know that you're out there somewhere
On a leave of absence from this place
And I still set a place for you
A place right next to me
And your glass will always be full

Oh Lord - I wish I knew the reason
Oh Lord - How 'bout some words of wisdom
Oh Lord - This ain't no testimony
Oh Lord - It's just a song for absent friends

And I still remember all the faces of the friends who had to go
All the times we shared, the tears we cried
All the fights we had, I wouldn't change a thing oh no
And it brings a smile to my face when I remember

And I know that you all are out there
On a leave of absence from this place
And I still have a place for you all
A place surrounding me
And your glasses will always be full

Oh Lord - I wish I knew the reason
Oh Lord - How 'bout some words of wisdom
Oh Lord - This ain't no testimony
Oh Lord - It's just a song for absent friends

Oh Lord - It's just a song for absent friends
Oh Lord - It's just a song for absent friends

Miss you, your "Brother" in Arms.
