Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Damon Hofstrand on October 26, 2009:

I was very lucky to have known Steve at West Point. His offbeat sense of humor brightened the day of everyone around him. No one was immune. Whether it was his deadpan jokes while we were standing at attention in a parade or the way he would stick his head into random rooms and ask "Alright?" or the way he would put off studying for final exams until the very last minute, Steve was always at the center of something hilarious. Steve had a unique abilty to communicate using his Brooklyn accent blended together with occasional dance moves.
Steve made everyone laugh. He certainly made me laugh and those memories are the greatest treasures of my experience at the Academy.

Thank you, Steve, for those memories.

Well Done, be thou at peace...
