Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Michael A. Armstrong Sr. on June 26, 2000:

There are some people in the world who feel like they have to trumpet their excellence before the world, who demand our attention and respect, and try to go to great lengths to keep it once they have our attention. You know, folks who feel like they NEED their 15 minutes of fame.

Timothy Mark White was NOT one of these people. Instead, I would say that his life was one of quiet excellence. He knew what he had to do, and he did it to the best of his ability, whether in uniform or not. Not one to say or show off a whole lot, you still knew he was there, because the whole atmosphere changed when he was around. He often brought balance and a fresh perspective to those things which were happening around him, and his legacy and mark will endure for a lifetime. Tim White was my friend, his wife is my "sister", and he will be sorely missed...
