Be Thou At Peace

Matt was always one of those people at West Point that I thought I could boast one day that I knew. He still is, but not for what I thought back then. While he didn't become a general, or find a cure for some exotic disease, I can still boast that I knew him.



Matt was very much the conscience of H2. There were and are a lot of people who were guided by what the crowd thought or what they were taught to believe in some honor class. Matt had the courage of true, deep, conviction. And while he didn't always agree with my views, I always felt bad, and even questioned mine, when Matt disagreed with them.



Matt had the kind of integrity that as I grow older, I find more rare. Here's to you Z. Say "Hi" to my Mom for me.
