Dear Family of Col Hutchinson, My deepest sympathy to you her family as well as her friends. Although I did not know Col Hutchinson, I wanted to leave a note because my daughter graduated from West Point in 2008. During her tenure at West Point, we both came to deeply appreciate those women who came before her and not only blazed a trail, but paved a road. We thank her, and you, for her service to our Nation. Moreover, we are most grateful for her service to the Corps of Cadets. You remain in our thoughts and prayers. Though not much, I hope that knowing that you have many joined in prayer for you during a most difficult time, brings a modicum of comfort.
