Troy A. Faber

West Point, 1989

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by LTC Rich Creed, USMA '89 on July 15, 2008:

Troy's Company I2 Classmates will miss him greatly. It was a treat to witness his hijinks and experience his sense of humor during our four years at USMA.
No one who saw or heard him in action will ever forget his female impersonations, his trademark "your mother in law" wise cracks, or his stirring a cup of coffee with an upside down ketchup bottle at Big Jim's diner in Charlottesville, VA, after a hard night of training at UVA one long weekend in 1989.
He was a welcome guest at my parent's home on more than one occasion, and a good battle buddy for almost any social event. My family and I regret not being able to see him at Tony Sebo's wedding in 2006, but my father enjoyed talking to him again for the first time since graduation.
I will always remember him as someone who didn't take things too seriously and used humor to defuse tension and stress in others.
Be thou at peace, brother.
