Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Andy Groeger on August 11, 2008:

I had the privilege of knowing Troy from two different perspectives; first as a fellow Moose and second has a teammate on the 150's football team, specifically as offensive linemen. As a football teammate, I sat on “tables” with Troy for three years straight, three meals a day. I remember leaving the mess hall after almost every meal with a stomach ache, not from the food, but from laughing so hard at “Fabe’s” antics. At the same time, he was a great offensive lineman. He was extremely tough. I remember him playing part of the year with a broken arm. Finally, he was extremely smart. He would make Dean's List without (at least) giving the perception that he was working hard. I last saw Troy at a Founders’ Day Banquet in Germany in 2006 and was glad to see that he had not changed a bit. I will surely miss him. God Bless, brother. Dirt Pigs!
