Be Thou At Peace

Posted by david j urzua on January 25, 2009:

I just found out about LTC FABER. To all his family, friends, classmates, and old soldiers. I AM saddened to learn of his passing. You see, I was his first platoon sergeant in Germany and you always remember your first LT. I am SSG URZUA {SGT Z }. I would like to think that I helped to mold him into the fine tanker/officer that he is, but knowing LTC FABER he did just find on his own. He was and is a good man and officer. We had a blast making our platoon the best in the Company and Battalion. Oh we got in trouble but we always had FUN - GO PHANTOMS.

To his family, I have some pictures and negatives that belong to Troy [oops} I've been trying to track him down to return them. If you would like them please contact me, so I can return them.

I always knew LTC Faber would earn his star. I now know he has and many more. You will be missed SIR.

SFC DAVID J. URZUA RET. USA.
