Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Christopher Board C2 "89 on November 10, 2006:
I first met Paul on the wrestling mats our Plebe year. I remember that I instantly knew I?d met a guy who?d be my friend for life. Paul was a great guy who I knew would be a great leader. He had that way about him. I remember seeing him on a news clip this past summer on NBC and smiling because I knew he was over doing something he loved. I?ve thought about his death all week and my heart goes out to Jackie and their children and to all of his family. Paul made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of this great nation. He exemplified ?Duty, Honor, Country.? I?m a better person for having known him and I am proud to have called him friend. There are some very special words from a song by a Christian Contemporary group that I listen to called Mercy Me. It?s from their song called ?Homesick? and I?d like to share it with Jackie, the girls, and Paul?s family. In Christ, there are no goodbyes And in Christ, there is no end. So, I?ll hold onto Jesus with all that I have To see you again.
?.And through Christ, we will see Paul again in Heaven. God Bless!
Sincerely, Christopher Board Company C-2 USMA ?89
