Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Mom Jones on February 1, 2009:

On Friday, January 30, the death of Heidi, Trudy's German Girl, ended a long loving relationship between grandparents and grandcats. Heidi and her sister Diffey came with John from Germany to the States. This was the beginning of many trips to the airport, to the vet, and long trips by auto to get the "girls" to and from Trudy's and John's duty stations across the country. This was done to make sure that the "girls" would get proper transportation as well as TLC. This routine continued for nearly eighteen years. Heidi's electric water fountain quit working a few weeks ago. She enjoyed fresh water as much as Trudy enjoys good coffee. Now Heidi's little pink carrier will be retired and the years of joy she gave will be a memorial to a grand ole "girl" that continued to be loyal to the end of her 20 years and seven months. Heidi will be missed from her favorite place in the sun and her quick dashes pass us up the stairs. Mom Jones
