Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Pamela Lewis- sister on December 27, 2010:

There have been birthdays, holidays, reunions, and most recently a baby shower that have been shared with family and friends. Mom and I went to Georgia this summer to see Marie and her son Charles. Since they are the only BLOOD on Dad's side that we know it was nice to connect wtih them. And now with Facebook and email we can keep those connections going.

But here we are almost 5 years after you have passed away and those that were CLOSEST to you are the FARTHEST from us. I guess everyone is hurting and you were what tied us all together.

Now that you are gone, what do we do to keep those connections? This is just one place to tell you how we feel about you. What do we do to for those that are still with us? Is there such a thing as a living eulogy? A personal blog to those that you want to let know they are thought of often, even if they don't think of you? Hmm. Interesting concept.

Just know that you are loved and missed every day. We are not ashamed to admit it to you or to anyone else. The pain of your passing can be shared: because after all we are ALL FAMILY.

So to those that will read this, whether they are friend or family, please take the time to reach out to John's Mom and Sister too. Don't forget that we loved him second (after God) and since you loved him you must love us. We are all in this together.

You can email us at: pamphilan@aol.com whenever you like. We look forward to connecting with you!
