I started reminiscing about my Army days today and started looking up those that had a significant impact on me during that time. I had the distinct pleasure of serving under Captain John W. Lewis, Jr in A Co, 1/503rd Inf, 2nd Inf Div, Camp Casey in 1995. I was his training NCO for the company. He was a great man, a great leader, and a great mentor. He made more of an impact on me as a person than any other while I was serving. It truly saddens me to have read of his passing. God bless you John. |
