Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Donna (Crouch) Ward on February 3, 2006:

John,
Thank you for your wonderful smile, your love of life, your belief in the goodness in others, and your devotion to Trudy. I remember times at the prep school and on the cross country team. But most of all I have a vivid memory of a conversation during our firstie year at West Point. We were talking about the Contemporary Arts Seminar and how you and Adolphus had a vision of making this world a better place by helping one person at a time. You remarked that you were a better person because people in your community had invested in you. You wanted to continue the circle by helping others. You made a difference to the children and young adults with whom you shared your time. Thank you for your beliefs, the conviction to put them into action, and for sharing your vision with me. May you rest in peace.
Trudy, My heartfelt prayers go out to you and your family.
