Be Thou At Peace

Posted by CSM(ret) A. Steven Hixon on August 11, 2008:

Our prayers to all the family. I served with Jim in the Dallas Recruiting Bn and it was a pleasure to work side by side with Jim as our Operations Officer. He became a friend and was always a professional. Skydiving was his passion and we had many discussions about civilian versus Military free falling, we never agreed. A very funny memory comes to mind, my wife and daughter had stopped by the Bn and had just bought a couple drinks and could not open them, they thought they'd stop by Jim's office and he could take the top off no problem. They stopped and he tried and tried and could not. He was very embrassed and just turned away. We laughed later about it.

Jim was a soldier's soldier and he always took care of his soldiers, It was my honor to have served and call him a friend.
