Two Killed In Mayes County Crash

LOCUST GROVE, Okla. (AP) -- A second victim has been identified
following a double fatality crash on a Mayes County road.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Susan Martindale of Tulsa
was a passenger in a car that overturned Saturday morning three miles
south of Locust Grove.

She died shortly after she was taken to the Mayes County Medical Center.

The driver, 37-year-old Brian Wheeler of Tulsa, was pronounced dead at
the scene.

Troopers say their vehicle was west bound when it ran off the right side
of the county road, overcorrected, ran off the left side and overturned
twice. The vehicle came to rest on the driver's side.

Wheeler was ejected nine feet from the car. Martindale was ejected 12
feet. The patrol says they weren't wearing seat belts.
