Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Sean Drake on October 26, 2005:
It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Brian and Susan.
Brother in arms, Classmate, F4 Frog, Plebe roommate...friend. We shared a bond that very few can truly understand, the ups and downs of first semester plebe roommates at West Point in what many considered to be one of the toughest companies in the Corps. While we may have lost touch over the years, I will always remember Brian as a good friend and fellow Frog.
In particular, I recall pulling an all nighter to finish a paper on our newly issued Z-246?s. My system crashed and I lost the paper at 3am. I woke up Brian from his rack, asked him to help, and he sat down and worked his computer magic to bring my paper back and keep me out of trouble. For me, that gesture was very symbolic of the cooperate and graduate mentality that bound us all together. I now wish that I could return the favor and somehow bring Brian and Susan back in the same way.
Be thou at peace?God bless, and Go Frogs!
