| Fr. Edson was an Augustinian confrere who truly lived what he vowed his life to ... "Before all else, love ..." begins the Rule of St Augustine. He loved God, he loved his country, and, as was so evident whenever I was with him, he loved the cadet corps. He was truly man who loved. How blessed that the God of Love invited him home so close to the celebration of the holydays in both the Christian and the Jewish traditions which celebrate the Divine love Edson so well humanly reflected. Edson, rest in the embrace of that love you brought to so many. |
