I remember Father Wood from the first Chaplain's time I attended as a plebe in the summer of 1994. I came for the cookies but I returned for much more. I enjoyed his Sunday sermons. I remember one sermon when he spoke about the popular song from Cheryl Crow...All I want to do is have some fun.....he reminded us that we are here on earth to do much more as God has intended us to do. Father Wood did so much for all of us. I sang in the Cadet Catholic choir all four years. Chaplain Wood always had a smile and his love and care for all cadets made me feel at home. I am saddened by his death and pray for him and his family. God bless you Father! Be thou at Peace! Sincerely Therese |
