| I played baseball for the Naval Academy against Stephen in 1991 and 1992 as the Center Fielder for the Mids. It was only in the last year that I realized he was killed in the line of duty trying to rescue the Navy Seals. As the first Naval Academy Grad to ever play professional baseball with the Giants and Dodgers, I can say that he was the toughest pitcher I have ever faced in my baseball career and we feared him on the mound in the Army-Navy match ups. I am truly saddened by his passing and wish his family and loved ones comfort. There are no words that can be spoken or written...my respects and appreciation for his sacrifice and those on his team. |
