Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Andy Lyman on August 8, 2020:

I was lucky enough to have Brandon in my Beast platoon, and as a roommate during my sophomore year. As a prior-enlisted guy, and a West Point prep school grad, Brandon was a few years older & wiser than most of us. Brandon was very fun loving, and very popular in the G4 company - and he was never one to take things too seriously, and always good for a laugh. I remember taking a trip or two down to beach towns in New Jersey with Brandon and some others (including Atlantic City). Like I mentioned, Brandon was older & wiser than most of us, but never held it against us. Rather, I think he enjoyed the role of older brother, and we were all better for his company. He wasn't ashamed of being older - in fact, he relished it. He loved his 70's music (Bee Gees, Bread, etc.), blasting it throughout the barracks regularly. Brandon - you are missed! May your rest in peace.
