Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Brian Crawley on July 29, 2003:

Josh was in my company for my cow/firstie years. He always stuck out as someone who had personal honor and could be trusted by all. I was never close friends with him, but he made a very big impact on my life during yearling year. I was accused of an honor violation, and Josh sat on my Honor Board. He never told me what was said among the board, but in effect he let me know that he thought I was innocent afterwards. I had what looked like a hopeless honor charge and a sure ticket home, and he stood out in my mind as an honest and vigorous defender of what was right and wrong in my case. I just feel so fortunate to have gotton through that time and to have graduated--and Josh always sticks in my mind as a key figure in that success. I really can't believe he is gone and I can only see this as a tragedy. I will always remember him as a key figure in my West Point experience as a classmate, friend, and suppporter to me. I will miss him.
