I knew Eric briefly while he was at Fort Carson. He replaced me as ABE of the 4th EN BN. When you first met Eric he came across very tough but as you got to know him you saw that he was a great guy. My best memory of him is from when we were on detail to Fort Hood, TX in 2002. I ran into him down at The Aquarium Bar on sixth street. It was his birthday and he was sitting in a corner of the bar, surrounded by friends and he seemed to be on top of the world. That is the way I picture him now. God bless to his family and thank God that our country has brave soldiers like him to defend all of us. RJ Anderson Class of 98 |
