| Mark was a close friend. We met in company A3 during plebe year and became close. I admired a lot of things about Mark-- he truly enjoyed life as a plebe and became our leader, spokesperson, and importantly friend to all. I will remember his shoes, perfect always, his tenacious runs up to the Stadium in all weather, and something I never grew accustomed to, his hugs. He coined my nickname, hosted me and some others over New Years in Tahoe, and told some of the best stories of all times-- I will miss him and now regret that I never thanked him for being a brother to me. |
