I have so many great memories of Mark. In our H-4 days, we talked trash in the dayroom, mostly moderating arguments about how overrated the Chicago Bulls were to Lojo. I last saw Mark at Gladstone?s in Malibu, CA in the summer of 2004. My wife and I were going in for dinner and he was coming out with his Aunt. He described his recent tour in Iraq with 4ID and I told him that I was in Baghdad in 2003. He told me that, "Should have been up in Tikrit with me!" Mark truly loved what he did and thought only of others in his service. He loved to be bold and daring. He is sadly missed. Greg Pearly |
