To those who love Capt. Paine Our son recently had the brief privilege of serving with Capt. Paine. He had told me when they first met what an awesome leader he was. He was impressed with his understanding of and commitment to the mission, and with is leadership. He was encouraged and inspired by his conversations with Capt. Paine. Our hearts ache with yours. I am reminded with each eulogy of Douglas MacArthur's words at the Dedication of MacArthur Park when, speaking of the sacrifice of the soldier, he said that in this he is most like our Lord Jesus Christ who died that men might live!
