Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Leo Buehler on November 16, 2007:

To Mr. and Mrs. Boris, Jamie, the Boris and Paveo families,
My deepest condolences and prayers are with you at this time. I am deeply saddened by this loss and know my words can do little in a time like this. I learned of Dave's passing through my brother Antonio, and resisted believing, hoping it was misinformation of some sort. Dave has been a role model and mentor for me. I followed him at Pottsville High and into West Point. I was fortunate enough to live a floor away from him in MacArthur Barracks for a year at West Point, where he would occassionaly give me encouragement and advice. We've shared trips back and forth to school at the Academy, shared a Sponsor in the Klegka family, and shared a profession. Dave was a quiet professional and was supremely dedicated to being the best man he could be. I am certain he was a loving husband and outstanding commander as well, as it was his nature to care for others above himself at all times. These are the qualities I'll always remeber of him. His loss leaves an enourmous void in the military world, West Point family, and Pottsville community. May he rest in peace, certain of the fact that he is exactly the type of individual that makes our country great. Please, if there is anything I can do for you, do not hesitate to ask.
Very respectfully,
CPT Leo Buehler
