Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Patricia Schnell on October 19, 2006:

I met Rebecca in flight school. My roomate Angie Gilpin (Nixon) was lucky enough to have Rebecca as her stick buddy and we all became friends. Rebecca seemed a bit reserved when you first met her. But once she became your friend you could talk to her about anything and she was always there to listen. We shared many of the same interests.

I have many great memories with Rebecca. I think back to the times we would go out for Sushi, go dancing, go to Mardi Gras, go to the beach or just hang out and have our "girl talk." Rebecca had a wonderful spirit and a joy about her. She was fun to be around.

Rebecca and I were able to cross paths after flight school in Korea, Mother Rucker and again in Germany. We shared simular experiences in the military and I always found Rebecca to be a great source of support. The news of her passing was a great shock to me. Rebecca was a unique woman with so many talents. She will be missed by all who got the opportunity to know her.
