Each time we are informed about the passing of a former West Point cadet our hearts ache, not only for you, but also for us, knowing that we, too, may find ourselves in your shoes someday. It is a solemn reminder of what it costs to fight for the freedoms that we all enjoy. Yet we know that Ben, along with our son and many others, heard the call to protect those freedoms. We pray that you will feel the loving arms of the Lord surround you and your family in the days ahead, as you struggle with the grief of losing your very special son.
