| I had the pleasure of serving with Ben at Fort Lewis while assigned to 1-23 IN Battalion. His great smile and optimistic attitude always stood out and were infectious to those around him. He enjoyed life to its fullest, and made sure you did the same when you were with him. He was a great man, and I'll always remember him as such. |
