Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Cheryl Eary on July 2, 2008:

The day I heard of Ben's death it sent a piercing sword through my heart. I wanted just to drop to the ground. I wept for a long while because I could not imagine the loss of a child to any parent; but to the both of you, Judy and Tim, you love deeper than most. Knowing that Ben is in the presence of our Lord can give you great comfort. Every time I think of his face it is always smiling. I remember Judy, you once said that Ben had the gift of preaching. I can remember like it was yesterday Ben standing in the kitchen at Camp of the Hills cooking squirrel meat. We would laugh and laugh with your boys because they are such a joy. You raised a fine man. A man who served our country, but more important a man who walked and served our Lord. My prayers are continually with you.
